Sci-Tech Daresbury (originally named as Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus) is one of two National Science and Innovation Campuses. The campus was established in 2006 and is located in Cheshire close to Runcorn and Warrington, and within easy reach of the north west motorways.

As a company based on campus at Sci-Tech Daresbury we have gained access to a vast network of technology led companies and customers. These are both established companies but also start-up and SME businesses. The campus provides a very positive environment to help a small business grow and raise its potential.

It operates large-scale facilities used by many UK universities as well as an increasing number of industrial companies (eg IBM, Unilever, Bentley Motors, BAe Systems).

In the time we have been part of the Sci-tech Daresbury campus we have established strong partnerships and working relationships with a number of organisations on site. We work with them continually to develop ideas and provide support for their websites, software and overall IT strategy. We continue to be introduced to new companies regularly through the support we receive from the campus business development team.

The Future

Currently there are over 1200 people on–site including about 500 scientists working in a variety of scientific fields including accelerator science, high performance computing, simulation and data analytics and sensors and detectors. 2015 saw the start of construction of two new “Techzone” buildings which are due to be completed by mid 2016. This is expected to provide a further 56,000 sq ft of Grade A office and laboratory space at the Sci-Tech Daresbury Enterprise Zone.

The addition of further technology led companies to the campus is sure to provide further networking and collaboration opportunities in the future and should help the campus go from strength to strength.

Are you a campus company?

If you are a company currently based on campus at Sci-Tech Daresbury then we would love to hear from you. We’ve built a number of partnerships with other campus companies as customers and suppliers and we’re always interested in creating new opportunities with local businesses.

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience built up over nearly two decades and are keen to help other companies flourish in the technology space. We provide a variety of services that are beneficial to growing business and our aim is to provide these services primarily to local businesses. As well as providing our own services we can also help connect your organisation to other organisations within the campus who provide a wide variety of technology led solutions.
